Description

1889, style of Burnet and Campbell, modern additions at
rear. 1st pointed Gothic. Aisleless nave with transepts.
Snecked and stugged ashlar. Gabled west front. Splayed and
moulded pointed-arch doorway flanked buttresses and small
pointed windows. 3 lancets over with linked hoodmoulds.
Louvred quatrefoil in gable. Angle buttresses. To right
projects porch and cat slide roof. Pointed arch doorway
to south with 3 pointed windows over.
Long elevations have paired lancets. 3 pairs to south and
4 to north plus 2 small windows at west. Transepts of 2 bays
each gabled with 2-light and quatrefoil windows east end
of nave has vesica in gable sanctuary projects at least
with 3 lancets and roof which reduces pitch in lower parts.
Green slate roofs with ridge tiles. Octagonal roof
ventilator with spirelet to nave.
Single storey session room and vestry at north east corner
with modern extension.
Interior: chancel arch flanked by 2 smaller arches housing
organs. Hybrid hammer beam and collarbeam nave roof.
Coved rear gallery on 2 balustered supports.
