Architect probably James Salmon. Circa 1850. Italian
Renaissance bank 3-storey, 3-bays to the cross, 3 bays to
Gilmour Street with curved corner bay. Ashlar. Ground
floor altered, cornice survives. 1st floor sash windows
each with entablature supported by flanking Corinthian
columns on pedestal with panels between, fretted to corner
and Gilmour Street, continuous cill course. Dentilled
cornice over 1st floor forms cill course of 2nd which
has pilastered windows with ornamented friezes. Console
course and modillion cornice. Die parapet with stacks,
only still complete, Slated roof with end stacks.
