T G Abercrombie, 1903. 4-storey and attic corner
tenement with shop at ground. Plain gabled flank to
Johnston Street, symmetrical 4-bay main front to
Causeyside Street; canted outer bays,
horizontally-proportioned and multi-paned inner top floor
windows below swept-eaved roof and set between pair
wall-head stacks (one of these reduced in height),
distinctive mullioned wide attic dormer behind. Ashlar;
mostly small-paned upper sashes; corniced stacks; slate
roofs.
This corner tenement is well detailed and is a significant addition to the streetscape.
