James Steel Maitland, 1938.

Crematorium, white-harled with ashlar dressings, ranges of different heights, complex roofs (slated) Chapel is rectangular and forms nucleus of plan, with shallow-piended roof, tall square-headed multi-paned windows, very wide porch at right hand (east) is ashlar, with big urn finials, also pair tall chimneys; lofty chimney stalk at rear

(north east) over plant house; lower ranges left hand (east) including glass-domed columbarium.
