Description

1860-70. Italianate villa with classical details set back from street; 2-storeys, 3 bays, asymmetrical. Polished red sandstone. Low steps to central doorway with paired consoles supporting blocking course, double-leaf door with fanlight to left, tripartite window with anta mullions; to right full-height canted projecting window. Above door single round-arched window, to left 3 round-arched lights, all with continuous archivolts and bold keystone. All windows sash and case with plate glass, 2-pane glazing pattern.

Deep bracketted eaves, piend and platform slate roof, lead over bay window. Corniced end stacks, tall lotus cans.

Flank to right stugged red sandstone with tall round-arched stair light. Single storey modern addition to rear with flat-roof.

Low red sandstone parapet to steps and boundary walls.
