Description

Late 18th century villa, altered and extended in 1895 to

form Industrial School. Tall 3 storey with 1895 mansard

attics, symmetrical, 3 windows wide. Coursed red rubble

with raised quoins, window margins and band course under

corniced eaves. Centre bay raised above eaves with pediment incorporating Roman Doric pilastered Venetian window, with

blind centre light, and capped by chimney stack. Pedimented

and consoled doorpiece. Windows 6 pane upper sashes,

lower sashes reglazed with double panes. 4 square, segmental

headed dormers with double pane sashes. Slate roof with

central lead platform flat.
