Description

Earlier 19th century. 3-storey, 3-bay, asymmetrical plan tenement with shop at ground. Lined render, plain margins.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: inter-war shopfront at ground, polished black granite frame incorporating strip pilasters, metal framed plate glass with period lettering, splayed entrance, canopy at 1st floor cill level, 1st and 2nd floors symmetrically fenestrated.

S ELEVATION: adjoining 85 High St.

N ELEVATION: adjoining 79 high St to W, extending E along close, single bay, pilastered and corniced doorpiece, altered window at 2nd above, blocked window in re-entrant angle to right at 1st, altered window at 2nd, later 4th storey flat-roofed, tile hung addition above.

E ELEVATION: harled gable end, flat-roofed addition above.

Later timber sash and case windows with plate glass glazing to front, variety to rear. Grey slate roof; stone skew to S.
