A and W Reid, 1849, E facing single storey and attic house
over raised basement. Tooled rubble frontage, random rubble
flanks; later harled wing at rear. Centre entrance with
shaped and finialled doorpiece with blank shield in
decorative head; recessed entrance with panelled door
approached by flight of steps with simple cast-iron handrail.
Projecting canted windows in outer bays with mullions; 2-
light gabled wallhead dormers in outer bays; narrow lights
with 4- and 6-pane glazing to sashes.
Broad end stacks, each with 5 coped diamond flues; slate
roof.
Later 2-storey, irregular 3-bay wing to rear.
GARDEN WALLS: garden and manse enclosed by simple coped
rubble walls.
Former Free Church, later destroyed by fire and demolished,
site to N of manse, between the house and the former school.
