Early 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 4-bay tenement with licensed premises at ground. Cream sandstone rubble, stugged, squared and coursed to S elevation. Raised margins.
S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: pilastered front in stained timber to licensed premises, pend to outer right. Fanlit panelled door to centre with name of public house in terrazzo to porch, large plate glass windows flanking, divided by narrow shafts, corniced fascia. Fanlit panelled door to pend. Regular fenestration at 1st floor. Rounded angle to right swept to eaves..
Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof, ashlar skews, slate-hung canted piended and finialled dormer to centre with finial, modern rooflight to left, rendered stacks to gables.
Situated on the corner of High Street and Whitten Lane. Similarly detailed front to licensed premises at Nos 111, 113 High Street. Fascia panel removed in 1990 exposing original fascia with raised lettering. Pantiled outbuilding at rear.
