Circa 1800. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay asymmetrical tenement of rectangular plan. Harled walls, droved ashlar margins to doors and windows, projecting cills.
W ELEVATION: doors at ground and 1st floor of centre bay, additional window at ground, and door at 1st floor, adjacent to right. 4-panel flush-beaded timber doors, with 3-pane fanlights, accessed by modern steel stair. Windows in bays to left and right, 2nd floor windows with concrete gabled slate-hung dormerheads breaking eaves.
N ELEVATION: single window to right at 1st floor.
E ELEVATION: irregularly fenestrated, 2 concrete gabled slate-hung dormers breaking eaves to left of centre, modern lean-to porch a ground with L-plan rubble wall adjoining.
12-pane timber sash and case windows. Purple-grey slate roof with clay ridge tiles. Stugged ashlar stacks, coped with circular cans, ashlar skew copes.
Conversion work was done on this tenement by the Council in 1968 as part of its post-war house-building program. The gable end of this building makes an important contribution to the streetscape and is particularly striking when viewed from the sea.
