Description

John Henderson. 1858. Gothic Nave and north aisle with
north east chapel. Snecked squared rubble with stugged
ashlar dressings. West window with decorated tracery,
paired cusped lancets to north and south. Projecting
porch to north west with simple pointed arch with hood
mould. Corbelled turret with fleche and gablet louvres to
South West. North East transept in red sandstone has
splayed gable end wall dictated by the angle of the
street and large window with late 14th century tracery.
Slate roof with gable head crosses. Interior: apsed east
end, arcade of depressed pointed arches between nave and
north aisle. Timber roof with braced collar and struts
to principal rafters.
