John Purdie, Mason. 1778 former Tolbooth. 2 storeys, 5
windows. Stucco with rusticated quoins, painted margins
to windows with imposts and keystones to round-heads.
Pilastered shop fronts at ground. Gable end with 2 square
headed windows to ground. 2 round-headed windows in 1st
floor with small carving of double headed eagle set into
square recess between. Blind oculus with keystones in
gable end. Straight skews, stack on east end with margins.
Slate roof.
