Later 19th century. Single storey and attic, 11-bay railway station. Sandstone ashlar coursers, raised ashlar quoins, ashlar margins, graded grey slate roof tiles (some replacements in a darker grey). Single and tripartite margined windows with 2- and 4-pane timber sash and case glazing, bracketted eaves and gables with narrow plain bargeboards, corniced ashlar ridge stacks.
STREET ELEVATION: 5 bays to left comprising 3 windows to centre with slightly advanced gables to left and right, each with tripartite window and single attic window, tripartite to left return gable; 6 windows to slightly lower wing to right, further lower blind bay to right return gable.
PLATFORM ELEVATION: 5 bays to right comprising door and 2 windows to centre flanked by tripartites, single attic window to gables above, bracketted canopy extending 2 bays to left; 6 bays to left with 3 windows and doors alternately arranged.
INTERIOR: not seen.
PLATFORM SHELTER: Single storey, rectangular-plan, vertically-boarded timber shelter with piended slate roof. Deep glass canopy with decorative cast-iron brackets, brick stack. Windows boarded-up.
