Early 19th century with later alterations. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay, T-plan, symmetrical plain classical house with slightly lower, 2-storey 3-bay addition to rear gable. Harled. Plain cement margins to windows. Strip quoins.
W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: pilastered and corniced doorpiece at ground in bay to centre; modern timber panelled door with rectangular fanlight; window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in each bay flanking.
N (SIDE) ELEVATION: window at 1st floor in bay to left. Attic window to right of gable; gablehead stack above.
S (SIDE) ELEVATION: main house: attic window to left to main gabled wall to outer left. Window at each floor to recessed projection to right; window at each floor in re-entrant angle. 3-bay addition: window at each floor in bay to centre. Modern boarded door with plain rectangular fanlight at ground in bay to left; window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in bay to right.
12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; stone ridge; stone skews; harled corniced gablehead stacks; cylindrical cans; predominantly cast-iron rainwater goods.
INTERIOR: not seen, 1998.
BOUNDARY WALLS: low, cement-rendered and lined walls along W elevation; ashlar cope; harled coped walls to S and rear.
A fine early 19th century townhouse, distinguished by a well-proportioned symmetrical front, small-pane glazing and a pilastered and corniced doorpiece.
