One of the more imposing houses on this terrace, constructed largely in the 18th century which takes Kirkwall out to the west. The large gap between the 1st floor windows and the eaves is typical of town houses in both Orkney and Shetland. The attic windows which appear in this gap in each flanking bay are a more unusual feature.
