Late 19th century. Carriage entrance with flanking pedestrian gates and screen walls. Channelled ashlar, square-section gatepiers with reduced top stage and moulded finial; flanking fielded panels with scrollwork coping and segmental-arched pedestrian entrances beyond; further, slightly smaller piers (detailed as above) to outer angles adjoining coped rubble quadrant walls. Decorative wrought-iron pedestrian and vehicular gates.
Known locally as the 'Golden Gates', this was the principal entrance to what is now Dunnikier House Hotel. The adjacent West Lodge is listed separately.
