Description

Circa 1830. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan, piend and platform- roofed villa. Harled with quoins strips and stone margins. Base course and eaves cornice. Hoodmoulds and stone mullions.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Pilastered and corniced doorway with deep-set panelled timber door and small-pane fanlight to centre, hoodmoulded tripartite windows in flanking bays; regular fenestration to 1st floor with full-width decorative wrought-iron balcony on cast- iron scroll brackets. Deeply recessed entrance bay to outer left with door at ground and window above.

E ELEVATION: asymmetrical fenestration including small piended extension to ground right.

12-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with some polygonal cans.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low saddleback-coped harled boundary walls to W; coped rubble walls elsewhere.
