The Tolbooth was unfortunately rebuilt as the Town Hall in 1883 by Hall and Henry. Tall 2-storey, plain gothic, not of much merit. Formerly Scheduled Ancient Monument No 882, scheduled on 12/12/1949 and descheduled 13/05/2016.
