Dated 1692. Square chamfered shaft with cap bearing egg and dart enrichment.

Statement of Interest

The Tolbooth was unfortunately rebuilt as the Town Hall in 1883 by Hall and Henry. Tall 2-storey, plain gothic, not of much merit. Formerly Scheduled Ancient Monument No 882, scheduled on 12/12/1949 and descheduled 13/05/2016.
