Description

Early 19th century with later alterations. 2-storey, 4-bay tenement with attic, shop and public house at ground. Rubble, rendered, lined as ashlar at ground to centre and left. Base course, dividing fascia band, eaves detailings.

N ELEVATION: 3-bay front to public house to left with broad door at centre, flanked by windows and fascia marked ?The County Bar? above; further broad door to right of centre. Later shop to right comprised of door and high window. Regular fenestration at 1st floor

comprised of single windows to centre bays and later bapartites in outer bays. Wallhead gable with single flue, stack over 2 centre bays. 2 large late 19th century canted dormers above outer bays.

Sash and case glazing to 1st floor and dormers. Graded slates. Coped skews and mutual gable stacks.

Statement of Interest

Similar in form and date to the neighbouring No 65 High Street and No 70 opposite.
