Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey tenement on corner site, on falling ground. Squared rubble with ashlar and droved ashlar dressings, painted. Quoin strips, painted margins, eaves band.

5 openings at ground, door to centre approached by steps, windows flanking and in outer bay to right; broad door in outer bay to left.

3 windows near-regularly spaced at 1st floor. Return elevation to Bridgegate with 2 widely spaced windows at ground floor and broad stack to gablehead. Additions to rear.

12-pane, timber sash and case windows. Grey slates; end stack.

Statement of Interest

Setted foreground and paved street. Part of the Hill Street Conservation Area. The street was formerly known as Hill Place.
