Early 19th century, raised to 3-storey mid 19th century. 3-bay coaching inn, with buildings to rear lining close. Rendered with painted margins and quoins, base course, dividing lintel band at 1st floor, eaves band, cornice and blocking course.
HIGH STREET ELEVATION: broad, block corniced doorpieces to outer bays, window to off-centre right and smaller window flanking to left.
3 windows at 1st floor, to outer bays and off-centre right. 3 regularly placed windows at 2nd floor.
S ELEVATION: broad gable to right with windows to left. 2-storey early, but altered buildings running left, part of Hotel.
REAR ELEVATION: bowed stair tower with conical roof (part glazed) to left of centre, windows to left again and gabled bay to right. Further single storey buildings at ground to left and 2-storey to right.
Small-pane glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Broad gablehead stacks with full complement of cans.
INTERIOR: not seen, 1996.
