Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. Single storey and attic, 3-bay, T-plan classical house. Ashlar front, rubble stone sides and rear. Base course, eaves cornice and blocking course, rusticated quoins, moulded margins.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical, central porch, Roman Doric fluted columns, triglyph frieze, mutule cornice. Bays flanking with windows at ground floor and bowed, gabled dormers above.

SW ELEVATION: gable end, harled and with flat-roofed extension.

NE ELEVATION: blank gable end.

NW ELEVATION: gable end of advanced single storey wing to centre, door off-set to right, 3 small, plain windows to SW face. Bay to right in main house, window with plain margins, later 3-light piended dormer above. Bay to left in main house, plain window.

4-pane or plate glass timber sash and case windows, grey/brown slate, stone skews, corniced ashlar gablehead stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low coursed stone wall with coping to SE, partial rubble stone wall with coping to SW and NW.
