storeys and attic. 5-bay front to High Street, modern
shopfronts flanking pend at ground floor, 1st floor windows
set in shouldered-arched recesses borne on slender columns
with foliated capitals; 2nd floor windows architraved with
centre window framed by engaged columns with foliated
capitals, borne on corbels and surmounted by gablet
ornamented with carved Royal Arms and surmounted by circular
coped chimney finial. Circular angle turrets, corbelled out
from wall at 2nd floor with crosslet openings at attic
level and finished with conical fish-scale slated roofs with wrought-iron finials. 2 dormers. Parapet with curvilinear
crenellations. N front (to Lombard Street) 3- bays, 3
dormers. W front (to Lombard Street) linked to N front by
canted angle bay with turret corbelled out from wall,
turret circular at 2nd floor, octagonal roof, fish-scale
slated with wrought-iron finial. W front, 3 storeys and
attic. 11 bays, shops at ground floor; corbelled rope-moulded
string course at 1st floor; 2nd, 6th and 10th of 2nd floor
windows surmounted by chimneyed gablets, other windows at
2nd floor surmounted by segmental pediments with urn finials.
NW angle chamfered with circular angle turret, conical
fish-scale slated roof. N front (to Baron Taylor's Street),
2-bay original shopfront ground floor, attic window with
cornice and strapwork.
