1857. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay villa. Red and grey sandstone rubble, ashlar dressings. Base course; raised margins; ashlar mullions to tripartite windows; chamfered arrises; overhanging eaves; bargeboard.
W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: advanced gabled bay to left, gabled stone porch set on diagonal line in re-entrant angle at centre with shouldered-arch doorway, boarded door with decorative iron hinges, recessed quatrrefoil panel to gablehead, decorative bargeboard; narrow window to left of doorway. Half-glazed vestibule door inside with etched glazing and inscribed 'Helensburgh Parsonage Erected 1857'. Window above at 1st floor. Corniced tripartite window at ground to right, dormerheaded window above with gable breaking eaves, apron, bargeboard. Taller bay to outer left; slightly advanced tripartite window at ground with ashlar half-piend coping as apron to corniced window above, small window above to attic.
S (SIDE) ELEVATION: window to outer right and left at ground, similarly detailed at 1st floor with window off-centre right between windows.
E (REAR) ELEVATION: 2 windows to centre and right at ground and 1st floors. Church hall adjoining to NE angle; single storey flat-roofed wing abutting, door to outer left, window to right, modern single storey block adjoining to E.
N (SIDE) ELEVATION: door off-centre left, hoodmould; stair window at 1st floor, hoodmould, fixed 6-pane sash and case with 4-pane glazing.

Variety of glazing patterns; mostly 6-pane sash and case with 4-pane to lower sashes, 2-pane upper sashes. Grey slate roof, roof-light to W, 2 gabled dormers to W.
The original church which the rectory served was dedicated to the Holy Trinity, iot was opened in 1843 and was situated on the same site as the present church.
