Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. 3-storey, 8-bay, asymmetrical, classically-detailed tenement with shops at ground floor. Cream sandstone ashlar, slate roof. Corniced ground floor (partly obliterated), corniced wallhead; architraved windows, block pediments to 1st floor, originally 12-pane sash and case, now mostly with modern out-of-character replacements. 2 close doors to ground floor, 4 modern shopfronts; 8 windows to 1st and 2nd floor; 3 ashlar ridge stacks, 2 cut-down, brick end stacks. INTERIOR: not seen.

Statement of Interest

Probably developed during the 1830s and 1840s at a similar time, and in a similar style to 8-24, 26-42 and 78-84 Cadzow Street, also listed.
