Circa 1910. 2-storey asymmetrical Scottish Arts and Crafts villa with bower elevation. White harl with some sandstone details. Eaves band; timber mullions and transoms; ground floor bipartite windows transomed.
N (FRONT) ELEVATION: gabled bay to left with ashlar skews and gablehead, corner to outer left chamfered with narrow windows and with ashlar corbel above ground floor; roll-moulded ashlar doorway with angled cornice over geometric motifs off-centre to right, steps with harled parapet giving access, 2-leaf panelled door; bipartite
windows at ground floor and to gablehead. To right 2 narrow window at ground floor; bipartite window at 1st floor breaking eaves in boarded gablehead. Curved corner to outer right.
W ELEVATION: advanced curved corner bay to outer left with conical roof and 3 bipartite windows; 1st floor bipartite window breaking eaves as above. Single storey bay to right with 2 narrow windows, steep roof pitch and tripartite dormer in re-entrant angle with corner bay.
Timber casement windows, at ground floor with leaded panes to upper lights, plate glass glazing to lower lights, small-pane casements at 1st floor. Purple slate roof; wallhead stacks to E and S.
INTERIOR: not seen 1993.
Rubble wall to front with flat coping.
Reminiscent of Scoulag Lodge (1898), Isle of Bute, by Robert Weir Schultz.
