Description

Earlier 19th century, substantially remodelled later 19th century.

2-storey 3-bay villa with later projecting bays with prominent columnar mullions and side entrance porch. Painted ashlar or render lined as ashlar. Base course; quoin strips; band course and moulded cill course at 1st floor; overhanging eaves with exposed rafters; stop-chamfered reveals; narrow lights to bays divided by slender colonnetes with foliate capitals.

N (FRONT) ELEVATION: original door to centre bay now blocked as window with Corinthian pilastered surround and dentilled cornice. Single window above. Bay to left with 2-storey rectangular projection with tripartite windows and narrow lights on return breaking eaves and coped with decorative iron brattishing. 2-storey bowed bay to right with 5-light windows and shallow conical roof. Later single storey single bay addition with pitched roof to outer right.

E ELEVATION: gabled with gabled and part-glazed later timber entrance porch, boarded gablehead and carved timber corbels.

W ELEVATION: gabled; later addition (see above).

S (REAR) ELEVATION: irregularly spaced windows; small addition to left.

Timber sash and case windows with plate glass glazing. Slate roof;

3 gablehead stacks to E and W. Moulded eaves gutter.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.

BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: low wall to front, 2 coped gatepiers, taller rubble boundary wall to side.
