Dated 1875. Symmetrical terrace of 4, 2-storey 2-bay houses on sloping ground with basements to rear. Variegated sandstone, squared and snecked stugged rubble with polished dressings. Base course; channelled quoin strips and eaves band; stop-chamfered reveals to principal windows; doorways with dentilled cornices and blocking courses bearing tablets; overhanging bracketted eaves to centre block.
S (FRONT) ELEVATION: 8-bay with 2 houses to centre dominant; elevations mirrored about centre. Centre bays flanked to centre by 2 small windows at ground floor, datestone above; centre bays with doorways and windows at 1st floor (small additional window at ground floor to bay to left of centre); regular fenestration to next bays (corniced at ground floor to Nos 6 and 8); doorways to outer bays (without cornice to outer
right).
E ELEVATION: doorway to left; window to right.
W ELEVATION: small secondary doorway.
N (REAR) ELEVATION: recessed side wings of end blocks; houses to centre with 3-storey canted windows to outer bays and secondary doorways.
Timber sash and case windows, mostly 4-pane glazing, some replacement windows. Purple slate piended roofs; corniced mutual stacks. Moulded eaves gutter.
INTERIOR: not seen 1993.
Low boundary wall to front with saddleback coping.
Listed in consideration of unusual design, as a long narrow terrace.
