Description

Dated 1803. Relict of old burgh buildings, truncated and stabilised presumably when Rowand Anderson's 1895-8 replacement was built. Georgian. ashlar, channelled at ground. Essentially a north-facing 2-storey pedimented centre bay with original base of square tower set back over - clock stage, deep cornice and squat spire not original; narrow recessed flanking bays; squared off on plan in ashlar, 3 blank walls with substantial wavy parapet over.
