Description

David Bryce of Edinburgh, 1848, as country house for James Dunlop.

Scots renaissance with asymmetrical elevations, Pinkie-derived square bartizans, crow-stepped gables, steep-pedimented dormer heads, buckle quoins, coped stacks, some stacks have individual flues. Ashlar; slate roofs; 2 storeys with attics, advanced gabled bays including entrance bay, detailing continued on lower service range to left which has conical-roofed turret. Variety of glazing patterns. Simple interiors.
