Built c1890. A single track swing span over the Forth and Clyde Canal (Glasgow Branch); plate girder sides of bowed form, pivoting on the south side, with hand operating gear. Abutments of stone; protective wooden piling (now decaying). Built to carry the Caledonian Railway's Port Dundas branch at a time when direct links to customers' premises attracted traffic.
