Description

David Thomson, 1873-7. Gothic church on corner site,
nave-and-aisles with clerestorey, prominent tall
polygonal apse to Pollokshaws Road with main roof
facetted over, shallow gabled porch at E end of N side
aisle, hall beyond with gabled front to Albert Drive;
1893 datestone on polygonal link to hall. Stugged and
snecked ashlar, polished dressings, buttresses, most
windows plate-traceried; finialed slated roofs. Interior
has leaded windows, some by Heaton Butler and Bayne, 7
aisle lights by William Meikle and Sons; gothic reredos
in stone by H D Walton 1899, marble and alabaster by
William Vickers; mural in chancel by William Hole, 1901.
Set behind plain iron railings.
