Probably late 18th century, but seemingly earlier
walling incorporated, eg at SW angle (part of No 10). 2-
storey block renovated circa 1980 as 2 houses with 2
blind windows opened out and re-glazed with plate-
glass sashes. 3+3 narrower bays, each house with doorway
placed left of centre; house to left (No 10) has modern
door; house to right (No 8) has only 2 bays windowed.
Rubble-built with droved ashlar dressings, all uniformly
painted. Rebuilt end stacks, small central stack set
below apex. Slate roof.
Rear elevation also 6 bays, forestair at 2nd and
originally at 5th bays, the latter now demolished, its
door now a window. Surviving forestair is curved, with
platt oversailing basement area; iron handrails.
Reputed to be originally single-storey cottaged which had first floor added (by courtesy of Iain Paterson, City of Glasgow District Council).
