James Miller, 1929. 7-storey, 7-main-bay classical
commercial building. Ashlar facade, banded quoins,
channelled 2nd floor. Giant fluted Ionic pilasters rising
from ground through 1st floor with balconies. All windows
casement with metal frames. 1st floor windows over shops;
continuous balustraded parapet on 2nd floor; 2nd and 6th
bays from N consoled windows rising through 4th and 5th
floors with sculptured frame at 5th floor bull's eye
windows; sculpted panels between 6th floor windows;
bold modillion cornice.
