Description

Circa 1858. 4-storey classical tenement. 50 bays, 9-bay E and
W returns. Polished ashlar, coupled channelling at ground
floor. Plinth. Mainly sash and case windows in architraves,
6-pane glazing, 4-pane lower sashes.
ELEVATION TO KENT ROAD: coupled bay windows corbelled out
over ground floor in 4th, 5th, 12th, 13th, 20th, 21st, 28th,
29th, 37th and 28th bays. Alternate close and main door
entrances. Ground floor cornice. 1st floor windows block
pedimented, 2nd floor windows corniced. Pilaster mullioned
3rd floor single window. Main cornice. Blocking course. Slate
roof. Axial stacks.
ELEVATION TO ELDERSLIE STREET: 9 bays arranged 6-3, N bays
advanced. 2nd return bay blind. Similar detailing. Anta
capitals to N bay mullions 1st floor, tripartite. Outer bays
with anta mullions at 3rd floor.
ELEVATION TO GRANVILLE STREET: as Elderslie Street. Ground
floor altered.

Interiors altered 1930s. Former Walworth Terrace.
