Description

J T Emmett (London) completed by John Honeyman, 1854-6.
Gothic, early decorated. Painted ashlar. 3 buttressed cross
finialled gable to Kelvinhaugh Street, 2 lower gables
flanking central gable with plate tracery to windows. 5-bay
eastern return with buttresses, 4 pointed windows with
hoodmoulds; entry with hoodmould to 1st bay from W, responds
with stiff leaf capitals. Western return repeats eastern with
7 2-light, plate-traceried windows lighting basement hall and
short relieving buttresses. 2-storey caretakers house to
rear.
Coped boundary wall to E with plain responds and coped canopy
surmounted by sculpted lozenge.
