1833-39 probably by John Baird No 1; W end altered McWhannel and Rogerson, 1908; SW extension added 1920, Keppie Henderson. 3 storeys and basement (with some later attics) block of terraced houses; ground floor altered to shop fronts to right and left of No 194 Bath Street. 3 x 23 x 3 bays. Polished ashlar, partially painted, channelled at ground floor. Central section and pavilions raised and projecting. 1st floor cill band; eaves cornice; blocking course. All windows sash and case in architraves; dropped cills to ground floor; keystoned lintels at No 200 Bath Street and to Douglas Street; consoled and corniced with pediments in central bays on Bath Street elevation of centre and pavilion Sections; corniced to other 1st floor windows; plain windows to 3rd floor. Ridge stacks, slate roof.
ELEVATION TO BATH STREET: Greek Ionic porticos at end pavilions and centre, double columned at centre, No 194. 4 consoled and corniced entries with fanlights. Full service basement with entrances and stone steps. Cast-iron railings and gates. Domed rear wing (Keppie) No 200.
ELEVATION TO BLYTHSWOOD STREET: 3 bays; 1st return bay blind; 2 corniced wallhead stacks.
ELEVATION TO DOUGLAS STREET: 3 storeys, basement and attic. 5 bays; some blind windows; raised parapet pierced by attic windows; 2 wallhead stacks rising from parapet.
Return elevations to Blythswood Street and Douglas Street.
