Circa 1882 4-storey, 5-bay polished ashlar commercial premises with later roof development. Giant order of composite pilasters rising from first to second floors. Rusticated ground floor with central console-bracketted, corniced entrance. 3rd floor cill band/cornice. Parapetted main cornice. Sash and case windows.
In the style of David Hamilton and later Glasgow monumental warehouse fronts. Built for Guthrie Wilson and Co, Stationers. Converted (1997) to public house/restaurant by Lawrence McPherson Associates of Ayr
