Description

Early 19th century. 4-storey classical tenement with

public house below, on corner site. Rendered and lined at ground

to W elevation; cream sandstone ashlar above; base course

and moulded cornice.

E (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: door off-centre to left, 2-leaf

panelled doors; pub windows with panelled aprons in flanking

bay to right and outer bays. 3 bays above with regular

fenestration, blind at centre.

S (BLACKFRIARS STREET) ELEVATION: 5 irregular bays at ground with

door at centre and to left and pub windows, detailed as above

in remaining bays. 3 widely spaced bays above. W gable elevation formerly adjoined properties since demolished. N elevation

adjoined by tall tenement.

Plate glass sash and case windows, 3 windows with 12-pane

pattern. Truncated stacks to S wallhead and W end.
