Honeyman and Keppie, architects, 1890. Former Hide, Skin and Tallow market converted to flats, 2000, with modern addition to rear. 4-storey and attic, symmetrical 7-bay building. Polished red ashlar with brick flanks and rear.
Ground floor; to centre wide vehicle entrance, to penultimate bays roll-moulded double-leaf doors with aedicular pediment over.
Otherwise, wide bipartite windows to ground, sash and case with small pane upper sashes, 2-pane lower sashes. To extreme right, altered shop front with lowered windows.
Thermal windows to 1st with single lights to penultimate bays. 2nd and 3rd with tripartites, except single lights to penultimate bays. All sash and case with small pane glazing.
Band course between floors, eaves cornice; small pediment over central bay. Deep plain parapet, skews and stacks flank centre bay. Re-roofed in slate during conversion to flats (2000).
