Description

Circa 1859-60. Astylar terrace of 8 3-bay houses, 2 storeys,
attics and basement. 3-storey, 6-bay terminal pavilions.
Painted ashlar (stonecleaned at No 46).
Steps oversailing basement to tripartite pilastered doorpiece
at left, with glazed fanlight in ramped corniced architrave.
All windows architraved, at pavilions consoled and corniced.
Sash windows 4-pane glazing. Band course over ground; string
course at 2nd floor cills of pavilions. Plain main cornice.
Balustraded parapet. Corniced axial stacks, some octagonal
cans. Slate roofs, irregular dormers. Roof balustrade with
die pedestals.
Flank to W; droved ashlar, band course over ground. Flank to
Victoria Crescent Place (E) painted ashlar; 3-bay details as
terrace except 1st floor windows are not consoled. Rear
elevation coursed rubble; dormers to No 50.
Cast-iron railings to steps and basement, some modern.
