Adam and Short, 1897. Range of 4-storey monumental tenements of five and six-apartment main door and close-entry flatted houses with Thomsonesque detailsz of pseudo-isodomic (banded) masonry and pilastraded windows. Grey sandstone. Polished ashlar with mannered rustication to base. Ground floor cornice; continuous cill band to first, second and third floor windows. First and second floor pilaster-mullioned windows; pilastered windows to main wall. Boldly-projecting regularly-spaced massive full height circular and square window bays. Sash and case windows. Wallhead stack to Roxburgh Street elevation, corbelled out at first floor on simple consoles; axial stacks. Staircases with cast iron railings to Roxburgh Street.
