Description

Mid 19th century. 2-storey villa, droved painted ashlar with
polished margins. Depressed-arch ground-floor windows with
hood-moulds; round-arched 1st floor windows with bracketted
cills, all plate glass sashes.
Asymmetrical 3-bay elevation to S with canted window to
ground at right; bipartite window above with column-mullion.
Stepped back entrance to E flank with painted timber porch
with openwork spandrels. Round-headed moulded doorway,
double-leaf doors; vestibule door tripartite with glazed acid
etched lights.
W elevation 2-bay with projecting single storey windows,
square to left, canted to right; latter with bipartite window
above. Lower 2-storey service wing to rear. Timber bracketted
eaves, corniced wallhead stacks, slate roofs.
Stugged coped ashlar boundary/retaining walls; 2 pairs of
tall corniced ashlar gatepiers.
