Description

Crawford & Veitch, 1907 as Cathcart Parish Council Offices; Edwardian Baroque. Red ashlar with sculptured detail; symmetrical long single storey front with variety of wall planes, leaded dome raised above central entrance bay (round-headed door approached above central steps, open based pediment on paired columns); windows mostly in key-stoned architraves; shallow advanced 3-bay outer pavilions with channelled pilaster strips flanking inner window. Main roof concealed by parapet. Iron railed low retaining wall to street. Square piers at terminals.
