Architect, WM Whyte of 103 West Regent Street, Glasgow, circa 1905. 4-storey basement and attic tenement. Scots Baronial. 20 unequal bays, 1st, 5th, 6th, 10th, 11th, 15th, 16th, 20th bays canted. Stugged coursers with stugged ashlar central section, bull-nosed snecked S return. Symmetrical group of 4 5-bay sections. Each section with sash and case windows, many altered. 3 stairs oversailing basement area, central close entry, narrow, margined lights to either side with sculptured tympana, corbelled, blind balustraded balcony to bipartite
above. Ground floor rope-moulded cornice. 1st floor rope-moulded margined windows arranged 3-1-2-1-3, elaborate strapwork over console corniced central windows. 2nd floor windows on stepped cill band and linked by continuous hoodmould sculptured aprons to outer canted bays, central pointed windows. 3rd floor windows 2 and 1-light steeply pedimented decorative dormers, taller central gable, corbelled out at 2nd floor; flanking tourelles with elaborate finials. Half-hipped slate roof. Interlaced cast-iron boundary railings.
Formerly Inverclyde Gardens. Designed originally for Alex Morrison and others and approved on 12 May 1899. Amended design for Andrew Kesson and others approved by Scotstoun Estates Office on 16 August 1902.
