Description

John Bryce, architect; 1850-2. Astylar 2-storey terrace of 3-bay houses; 5/6-bay 3-storey (tenement) pavilions; attics and basement. Nos 93-115 demolished. Painted ashlar, channelled at ground. Steps oversailing, basement to Roman Doric pilaster doorpieces; tripartite

doors with pilastered jambs and side-lights. No 91; 6-bay pavilion with paired pilaster porches, doors with pilastered reveals. No 127, 5-bay pavilion with Roman Doric columnar porch. All upper windows architraved; pedimented at 1st floor of pavilions. Sash windows; plate glass glazing with some 12-pane glazing at pavilions. Continuous band course over ground floor and between 1st and 2nd floors of pavilions. Plain main cornice, pierced roof balustrade (incomplete) deep plain parapet at pavilions. Axial stacks, slate roofs. Cast-iron railings to basement area and steps.
