Description

Circa 1859 astylar terrace of tenements 3 storeys and
basement with 4-storey terminal pavilions; 30 bays
arranged 8-15-7. 9-bay flank to 14-16 Glasgow Street
similarly detailed. Polished ashlar, channelled at
ground, stonecleaned. Pavilions have Roman Doric
doorpieces with dentil moulding. All upper windows
architraved; dentil cornice over 1st floor (and 2nd at
pavilion). Sash windows; mainly 4-pane glazing.
Continuous band course with dentil moulding between
floors; eaves course and cornice. Axial and wallhead
stacks; slate roofs. Bipartite windows irregularly
placed, at 4th bay of right pavilion and at 4th, 5th and
9th bays of flank to Glasgow Street.

Avenue (odd nos) B Group. Number 13 Oakfield Avenue does

not exist.
