Style of Alexander Ross, circa 1865, ashlar. 2 storeys, 3 bays
with centre bay slightly advanced with shaped gable. At centre,
slightly advanced parapetted porch with entrance framed by
engaged columns with stiff-leaf capitals supporting round
arch; first floor window bipartite. At outer bays ground floor
bay windows with bowed sides and bracketted crenellated
parapets with segmental pediments containing shields at centres;
first floor windows bipartite with shaped gablet dormer-heads.
Rope moulded eaves course at outer bays, being stepped as
hood-mould over centre first floor window; parapet. Slated roof.
Late 19th century wing at rear. At west, conservatory, circa
1900, with crested ridge.
Gatepiers polygonal with ball finials. Cast-iron gates and
railings.
Shown on 1871 Ordnance Survey as Laurina Villa. House of
T Henderson, factor during late 19th and early 20th centuries
to Rosehaugh Estate.
