Description

Circa 1848. Single storey, with raised basement, 3-bay symmetrical rectangular-plan villa. Sandstone rubble; stugged ashlar and raised droved margins at E (entrance) elevation; moulded cornice; blocking course.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central doorpiece with polished ashlar pilasters, and entablature; upper part of door panelled with etched glass; letterbox fanlight. Single windows flanking and right at basement and ground floor.

S ELEVATION: blank rubble; adjoining thistle-ridged conservatory, coverted to garage in 1929.

N ELEVATION: blank rubble.

12-pane sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; end stacks with moulded octagonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1990.

Pedestrian gateway adjoined to N; low retaining wall to street minus original ironwork. Droved and capped gatepiers.
