Circa 1878. 22-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan French style willa with entrance tower and service wings attached to W and E elevations; subdivided. Squared and snecked rubble; coursed stugged ashlar with polished dressings to N (entrance) elevation. Base course; cornice; quoin strips; basket-arched windows to 1st floor and entrance by return; chamfered reveals.
N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central advanced entrancebay, breaking eaves as tower; segmental-arched architraved doorpiece, with carved consoles and heavy segmental-arched pediment; single window with margin glazing at 1st floor; towerhead breaking eaves above in French roof intercepting main pitch (brattishing missing); cornice with corniced balustrade, corner dies surmounted by stone urns; single windows with segmental-arched heads to N and W faces; shouldered stack to E return. Advanced corniced tripartie window in ground floor bay to outer right; pipartite window at 1st floor. Small single windwo and advanced bipartite window at ground floor to outer left; single window at 1st floor. Single window to service wing attached to outer right.
SERVICE WING: single storey and attic; secondary entracne and single window at ground floor to N with single window breaking eaves in pedimented dormerhead above; single window at 1st floor to W.
W ELEVATION: piend-roofed service wing; window at 1st floor.
Plate glass sash and case windows; some uPVC replacements. Grey slate piended roof; lead flashing; moulded eaves guttering; 3 shouldered and corniced wallhead stacks to main house; 19th century dormer to W.
INTERIORS: not seen 1990.
BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATEPIERS: low coped wall to street, rising to E and W; pair of ashlar gatepiers with cornices and pyramidal caps.
